1. Agreement and supplier
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) apply between you and DocNym, the independent software brand identified as the product supplier during checkout (“DocNym,” “we,” “us” or “our”). By downloading, activating or using a DocNym product, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the product. Questions may be sent to support@docnym.com.
2. Purchase through Paddle
When Paddle checkout is enabled, Paddle acts as the authorized reseller and merchant of record for the transaction. Your payment transaction is also governed by the Paddle Buyer Terms. These DocNym Terms govern the license and your use of the software supplied by DocNym.
The current price for DocClean is USD $29 as a one-time purchase. Taxes may be added based on your location. A purchase of DocClean does not include other current or future DocNym products.
3. License grant
After a valid purchase, DocNym grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the purchased version of DocClean on one activated Windows device for your personal or internal business purposes.
“One-time purchase” means there is no recurring license fee for the purchased version. It does not promise perpetual updates, compatibility with future operating systems, cloud services, support for new file formats, or access to a future major version.
4. Activation and delivery
A license code is delivered to the purchase email after payment confirmation. The code is used to activate one device and is not intended for sharing or resale. Hardware or operating system changes may require reactivation. For a legitimate replacement-device request, contact support with the relevant order details.
Keep your purchase email and license code secure. DocNym may suspend or revoke a license associated with fraud, a refund, a chargeback, unlawful use or material breach of these Terms.
5. Acceptable use
You must not:
- copy, resell, rent, sublicense or distribute the product or a license code;
- circumvent activation, security or technical restrictions;
- reverse engineer, decompile or modify the product except where applicable law expressly allows it;
- use the product to violate law, contracts, intellectual-property rights or another person’s privacy; or
- misrepresent the product as guaranteeing anonymity, regulatory compliance or removal of every hidden trace.
6. Product boundaries and your responsibility
DocClean reduces common hidden metadata and review traces. It does not guarantee anonymity, complete sanitization or that a document is safe to share.
You are responsible for keeping backups, reviewing the cleaned output and deciding whether it is appropriate to share. Cleaning modifies a file and may affect document behavior or invalidate an existing digital signature. Unsupported, encrypted, corrupted or unusual files may not be scanned or cleaned correctly. The product page identifies current format-specific limitations.
7. Updates, availability and support
DocNym may provide maintenance updates, change technical requirements or discontinue downloads or activation services. Where reasonably possible, material changes affecting a paid product will be communicated. Product and activation support is available by email, but no response time or individualized document-recovery service is guaranteed.
8. Intellectual property
DocNym and its licensors retain all rights in the software, website, brand and documentation. These Terms grant only the license stated above and do not transfer ownership. You retain all rights in the documents you process with DocClean.
9. Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the product is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded. DocNym does not warrant that every trace will be detected or removed, that the product will be uninterrupted, or that it will meet a particular compliance or anonymity requirement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DocNym is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for lost data, profits, business or opportunity. DocNym’s total liability arising from the product will not exceed the amount you paid for that product. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
10. Termination, changes and general terms
You may end the license by uninstalling the product. DocNym may terminate it if you materially breach these Terms; provisions that by their nature should survive will remain effective. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
These Terms may be updated for new products, legal requirements or material service changes. The version in effect when you purchase ordinarily governs that purchase, unless a change is required by law or you agree otherwise. Mandatory consumer protections in your country remain applicable.
